Student Clinic Day; Update on first Holistic Retreat

Our next supervised student Shiatsu clinic day is on Saturday 28 Nov 2015. The 12noon slot is now full. There are 3 year 2 spaces (£10) for 10.45-11.45, and 1 year 3 (£15) and 4 year 2 sessions available for the 2.20-3.20pm time. Saturday November 28th sees one of our very popular Shiatsu Student Clinics where you can come and have a one hour acupressure massage (you keep your clothes on for Shiatsu!) for £10 (a year 2 student) or £15 (a year 3).

Sessions take place in a supervised setting at the Get Down Dog yoga studios, Newhaven, Edinburgh.

Taken together as 150 hours with a final assessment weekend, this year leads to a certificate to practice. Seated Shiatsu is a versatile way to give massage in public places – no need for the receiver to undress, just set up your stool and tempt those passers-by.

  • A 7-day course for those with no previous experience of Shiatsu:  31 July – 2 August, 4 – 6 September, Assessment day 3 October 2015.
  • A 4-day course for those with minimum one year’s experience of Shiatsu: 4 – 6 September, Assessment day3 October 2015.

Shiatsu Charity Event – Sat 6 September 2014; Pop-up Festival Chi Gung Classes

Shiatsu Awareness Month – Charity Event:

 The Shiatsu School Edinburgh are raising money for young people with depression.

On Saturday 6th September we are offering Shiatsu sessions for £20 (1 hour) at Get Down Dog, 62 Newhaven Road, Edinburgh. Choose a time between 9am and 8pm and book yourself in for a relaxing acupressure massage (you do not take your clothes off for Shiatsu).

All donations will go into a fund which young people will be able to apply to for funding if they are suffering from depression

Pop-Up Festival Chi Gung Classes:

In these classes you will learn short, gentle, and easy-to-learn standing and sitting exercises that are known for deepening the breathing, relaxing the joints and calming a busy mind.
